How often should a chimney be swept?
- Once a year for any chimney you burn in regularly. Around Baltimore we sweep most wood burners every fall before the first cold night. Gas fireplaces still get a yearly look because caps and liners fail quietly.
What is the difference between chimney sweeping and chimney cleaning?
